1950 Gillette Aristocrat Refurbished Re-Plated 24 Carat Gold. This beautiful collectible razor has been Replated in Mirror Nickel the entire razor. The TTO knob works as it should and the doors open smoothly and close tightly. This Beautiful Gillette Aristocrat Razor is Essentially Brand-New Razor!

Some consider this the Gold Standard of DE shavers. These razors are well built and give wonderful shaves. The size and weight of these razors provide great balance and makes shaving a pleasure.

HISTORY: Spanning approximately 70 years, the Aristocrat name was the longest running of the Gillette line of DE razors and, in my opinion, was their Flagship razor. True, more upscale and pricier sets were made, but only for short periods of time, while the Aristocrat enjoyed fairly steady production until a decade long break from 1951 to 1961. This appears to have been a very popular razor in its time.

Our process:

1. Repairs are made, guards are straightened, doors are straightened, mechanics are checked, razor is then disassembled.

2. Deep Cleaning / Disinfecting in 160 degree Ultrasonic Bath with special degreaser / soap scum remover.

3. Polishing and resurfacing, mirror polish where needed.

4. Hand Polish with special jewelers cloths.

5. Ultrasonic Deep Clean / Disinfecting at 160 degrees, 160 degree Electroclean, Surface Activation, then our Awesome Bright Nickel Plating.

6. If indicated- 24K Hard Gold Plate or White Platinum.

7. For Adjustables I paint the numbers and selector spring with Testors enamel paint. The black ring below the selector dial on Fatboys and Executives is now USA made automotive pinstriping, which in our experience lasts longer than painting with enamel.

8. Reassembly, blade gap is checked and set, mechanics are checked.
