  The official name of this razor is the Gillette Executive Adjustable Razor, Executive Fatboy for short. The Executive Fatboy razor is very similar to the Standard Fatboy excepting it is plated in 24k Gold and the knurling on the handle and twist-to-open knob is different (it is horizontal as opposed to crisscross on the Standard Fatboy). A later Executive Fatboy (D3) has been found with crisscross knurling on the Gold Plated TTO knob while retaining the horizontal knurling on the handle. This may have been a case of Standard Fatboy TTO knobs being used to build Executives in production. The adjustment dial has nine positions, starts at "1" and terminates at "9" (the most aggressive setting).

  This 1958 Gillette Executive Razor is Replated in 24k Gold and weighs 79 grams. The Razor Is Clean and Shiny, it opens and closes smoothly, everything mechanical on this razor works 100%. The adjuster plate raises and lowers as you twist the adjusting knob as it should when you adjust the shave. Our process:

The original razor is disassembled, cleaned and disinfected. Then any repairs or adjustments are made. Next, the razor is polished, outer doors, outer cap, end caps, and guard edge are mirror polished, followed by a hand polish. We then plate the razor with Nickel Plating. White Platinum or 24K Gold is plated over the Nickel for those razors plated with precious metals. Finally, the razor is reassembled and adjusted. Blade gap is checked with a blade in, between the blade and guard. Fatboy numbers are repainted and the stripe is installed (USA Made Auto Pinstriping). No warranty is implied for the paint or pinstriping. The Plating comes with a 6 month warranty to not crack, chip, wear off, flake or discolor.
